Occupancy

Update: April 24, 2015 Fundraiser

Approximately one hundred community members turned out to support and hear the most recent updates on the progress of the new masjid and community center being built in Sugarcreek. Following a program of Qur’an recitation and translation, board chairman Mohammed Abbas welcomed the attendees and was followed by a presentation of the project by architect Br. Chris McCoy. Br. Marwan Maarouf outlined the project budget as well as the occupancy status before the guest speaker, Imam Abderraoouf Alkhawaldeh, conducted a very successful fundraising speech.

With the support of all those who attended and the grace of Allah (SWT), $125,000 was collected and another $171,000 was pledged. The generosity of our community is outweighed only by the generosity and mercy of Allah as we continue to move forward to provide a beautiful and spacious center for worship and activities for the Dayton Muslim population. Everyone is invited to take advantage of the remaining opportunity to contribute to the opening of their Masjid and Community Center in Ramadan of this year. There are few challenges that are in the way; there is a $100,000 fund shortage and many tasks to be completed. We are determined to overcome these challenges God willing.

Donations may be made through the ISGD web site at www.isgd.org, or sent to ISGD, 26 Joise Street, Dayton, Ohio 45403.

It was narrated that the Messenger of Allah, blessing and peace of Allah
be upon him, said, “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah,
Allah will build for him a house in paradise.”
May Allah, SWT, make us all from the people of paradise,
Ameen
